BIG PINE KEY, Florida Keys — Country-rock troubadour Jerry Jeff Walker is to headline a musical extravaganza set for 1-9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Key West and the Lower Florida Keys. The event takes place at Lazy Lakes RV Resort on Sugarloaf Key’s Johnson Road, located off U.S. Highway 1 at mile marker 20.

Renowned as a songwriter as well as a performer, Walker is best known for penning the American pop standard “Mr. Bojangles.” He has released more than 30 albums and recorded such lasting hits as “L.A. Freeway,” “London Homesick Blues” and “Redneck Mother.”

As well as Walker, the Feb. 13 entertainment lineup includes legendary songwriter/producer/musician Mac McAnally, “trop rock” all-stars Howard Livingston & Mile Marker 24, “hickhop” sensation Cowboy Troy, the country-rocking Horse Pistols, Caribbean country bluesman C.W. Colt and singer/songwriter Chris Cook.

While their performances satisfy attendees’ appetite for good music, food and beverages will be available to satisfy other appetites.

In addition, Habitat for Humanity plans to hold raffles throughout the day and evening.

Tickets to the songfest are priced at $30 per person in advance or $40 per person at the gate. For more information and ticketing, call Lazy Lakes at 305-745-1079.
