PROCHILE SELECTS NEWMAN PUBLIC RELATIONS FOR REPRESENTATION AT CRUISE SHIPPING MIAMI CONVENTION

MIAMI (Feb. 23, 2010) — ProChile, the international trade and commerce organization of Chile, has selected NewmanPR to execute a media relations campaign for the upcoming Cruise Shipping Miami. The Miami-based agency has been charged with spearheading the public relations effort before, during and after the convention, slated for March 15-18 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

NewmanPR was selected from among a field of five South Florida and New York agencies considered in the government’s search.

“The Chilean government recognizes the importance of cruise business to its overall tourism industry, and has committed significant resources to Cruise Shipping this year,” said Stuart Newman, president of NewmanPR. “We look forward to assisting ProChile spread its message during the convention.”

ProChile seeks to expand and develop the country’s trade policies by positioning the Chile’s brand image in other markets, helping small and medium companies go international, taking full advantage of trade agreements and fostering collaboration between public and private sectors.

NewmanPR, founded in 1946 by Stuart Newman in Miami, specializes in the leisure travel, cruise and maritime industries. Clients include the Florida Keys and Key West Tourism Council, Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line and Star Clippers.
