MIAMI (July 5, 2011) – Carnival Cruise Lines has launched a new travel partner booking incentive to celebrate the Carnival Ecstasy’s new four- and five-day Bahamas cruise schedule from Port Canaveral, Fla., which begins this fall.

New individual and group reservations made through July 31, 2011, count as an entry toward the grand prize – a four-day Carnival Ecstasy cruise for two from Port Canaveral. Fifty runner-up prizes, Carnival-branded backpacks, will be awarded, as well. Bookings must be made via any GDS system or GoCCL.com and a sweepstakes form, available on GoCCL.com, must accompany all entries.

Carnival Ecstasy’s new one-of-a-kind four- and five-day Bahamas cruise schedule from Port Canaveral begins Nov. 7, 2011. Four-day “long weekend” cruises depart Thursdays and visit Nassau and Half Moon Cay or Freeport, while five-day voyages depart Mondays and Saturdays, calling at Nassau, Freeport and Half Moon Cay or Key West.

Carnival Ecstasy’s deployment to Port Canaveral further bolsters the line’s position as the port’s largest cruise operator with three year-round ships carrying 600,000 guests annually.

“By adding this unique short cruise program aboard the Carnival Ecstasy from Port Canaveral, we’re giving our travel partners an additional selling option from this incredibly convenient and popular port,” said Joni Rein, Carnival’s vice president of worldwide sales. “We wanted to kick off the months leading up to the ship’s arrival with a fun sweepstakes to reward and excite our partners as they introduce these new itineraries to their clients.”

Prior to repositioning to Port Canaveral, Carnival Ecstasy will continue its current schedule from Galveston, Texas, through Sept. 8, 2011 then operate a series of voyages from New Orleans Sept. 22 through Nov. 5, 2011.

Additional sweepstakes information and complete rules are available at GoCCL.com. The site also features an informative video with sales tips on marketing the Carnival Ecstasy’s new itineraries from Port Canaveral.
