Late yesterday afternoon I saw an AP story that President Obama had announced the renaming of Mount McKinley to Denali on the eve of a three-day trip to Alaska.

So I pulled a few Denali images out that I had shot earlier this month and pushed them to AP as images provided by Holland America Line, since Denali is land-sea tour option the line markets. They’ve gotten very good online play (New York Times, Tampa Bay Times, Detroit, San Fran, many foreigns and one of them is in today’s Miami Herald print edition).

Although Obama won’t be going to Denali, I think there will be massive focus on Alaska during the next three days, even though climate change will be a primary focus.
