The Monroe County Tourist Development Council has been selected as a finalist in nine of 15 categories in the 11th Annual Flagler Awards, which recognize outstanding tourism marketing in the state of Florida.

Keys tourism council–related work that made the finals includes entries in the categories of Creativity in Public Relations, Multicultural Marketing, Resource Promotion Material/Consumer, Direct Mail, Newspaper Advertising, Magazine Advertising, Television Advertising and Radio Advertising.

All finalists and Flagler Award winners are to be recognized at the 43rd Annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism, Sept. 26-28, in Orlando.

“We are obviously pleased the TDC and its agencies are being recognized among the best in tourism advertising and public relations,” said TDC Director Harold Wheeler.

Tinsley Advertising and NewmanPR are longtime advertising and public relations agencies of record for the TDC.

The Flagler Awards are organized by Visit Florida, the state’s public/private–sector tourism promotion agency.
